BACK TO THE BLACK MOON'S ANIME EXPO PAGE

Tsukino Barbie (below - dressed as Sailormoon) and her good friend Tada Kaie (left - dressed as Sailorvenus), are two of the loveliest women you will ever meet in the world of anime cosplay (Costume Play). The duo have been engaged in the art for around ten years and their dedication really shows.

They came all the way from Japan to attend the 2001 convention dressed in costumes that took them two months to create! I shot these photos of them at the Sera Myu (Sailormoon musical) focus panel put on by the cosplayers of Sailorjamboree.

The Sera Myu panel presented information on the popular Sailormoon musicals in Japan... there have been over a dozen of them! Panelist Tristen Citrine talked about the Sailorjamboree troupe having gone to Japan to see a Sailormoon musical and meet its cast. Citrine works as a costume designer in Las Vegas but she also creates gorgeous Sailormoon costumes on the side (she was dressed as a perfect Aino Minako).
