All of the cosplayers who turned out in their Visual Kei
get ups should be commended for bringing something different
to the family of anime fans. Many were for the first time
informed of Japan's alternative Rock culture, a scene that
mixes well with the world of anime and manga. I hope this
exposure encourages more Westerners to pay attention to what
is going on musically in Japan, and perhaps in the future
Anime Expo will be inspired to bring some Japanese
Bands to the United States!
