Bands in the Visual Kei scene like Dir en Grey,
Malice Mizer, and X Japan have a Pop edge to
their music but their sound is generally an experimental fusion
of Industrial, Rock, Pop, and Gothic styles. Combined with
a penchant for cross dressing and outrageous costumes... it's
not for the faint hearted. This
young woman was dressed as Kyo, the male vocalist for
Dir en Grey.
