This odd looking fellow is Vivi the Black Mage, from
the Final Fantasy IX game. There were many fans of
the Final Fantasy game series in attendance, with a good number
of them coming in full costume. The wonderful thing about
the Vivi costume was that the eyes actually glowed!
Somehow the maker of the costume had figured out a way to
feed the "eyes" with an electric current, and believe
me, the effect was amazing! I also saw quite a few fans dressed
as Squall Leonhart, the lead character from the Final
Fantasy 8 game.
