This fan came dressed as the wise Suzaku Seishi, Chichiri,
from the Fushigi Yuugi anime and manga series. Though
this woman is dressed as a male character... she pulls the
whole thing off wonderfully because she's got heart! I must
say... her costume was perfect in every detail, from her outrageous
electric blue wig to her marvelous staff of wood and brass.

Yu, attended Anime Expo 2001 as a special guest.
At Ms. Watase's panel many dozens of people showed up in full
costume!
