Imagine a world populated by Goddesses, aliens, elves, cat
girls, blue haired martial arts masters, giant robots that
do your bidding, visitors from outer space both nefarious
and benevolent, sexy female Samurai, evil overlords and
magic welding defenders of justice. I can show such a world
exists... I've taken the Photographs to prove it!

Every
year dozens of anime conventions are held across North America
with droves of loyal fans attending. Many come dressed as
their favorite anime characters, providing artists and photographers
like myself with an endless mad parade of beautiful models
to shoot (I took these photos over the 4th of July weekend
at Anime Expo 2002, in Long Beach California)

As
a long time participant in North America's anime fan community,
the greatest thing I've experienced is the creativity of
the fans themselves, and it's to them that I dedicate my
photographs.
|
|
The
compulsion to engage in "cosplay" is just too
much for some anime fans to resist. To the outsider, it
may appear as nothing more than simple exhibitionism...
but to the anime community, it's a method of educating other
fans while having a great deal of fun. Why just read about
your favorite anime character when you can be your
favorite character?!

Cosplay
is an integral part of the anime experience, and it surely
is one of the reasons why anime conventions have enjoyed
so much success. I hope you have as much fun viewing my
photographs, as I did taking them.
